ELMO AND WIGGLES

EDITOR: As a mom in Sonoma County, I find a lot of wonderful things to do

with and for my children. However, if I want to take them to see Elmo, The

Wiggles or Dora and Diego, I am relegated to driving all the way to San

Francisco or even Stockton to get them there. The drive alone is enough to

send three children under 3 into horrible moods and that is not the way to

start off a trip to see Elmo.

I am pleading with the new head of the Sonoma County Fair to please consider

bringing some of these types of shows to the fairgrounds in the future. Not

only would this be a lucrative endeavour during daytime hours for the arena,

but you would be filling a need here in Sonoma County as Santa Rosa is one of

the largest cities in the state.

I know there is a large portion of the community hankering to see a Wiggle or

two but unable to do so because of the long drive and gas prices. I invite you

to respond.
