"Her times continue to drop," said Dan Greaves, her coach on the Santa Rosa Neptunes. "She may be the best to come out of this area."

With her prep season over, her focus is on an international meet in Santa Clara in late June and the USA Nationals in Irvine in August, a meet that serves as a qualifier for the World Champions later that month. She has to finish in the top two at the qualifying meet, "but her times are very competitive," Greaves said.

Sims has heard from many colleges but has narrowed her choices to Cal, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Arizona. "I'll decide after the visitations," she said.
