Today the championships move to Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble

Beach. Semifinals will be at Spyglass Hill, followed by the final championship

match at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Borowicz defeated Todd Sickles 6 and 5.

Tom Nelson of Sea Ranch lost to Brad Martin 6 and 4 and Jeff McMillen of

Ukiah Municipal lost to Dana Banke 2 and 1.

YOUTH SOCCER

Three local youths play on a Terra Linda soccer team that has advanced to

the California Youth Soccer League North State Cup quarterfinals next weekend

in Morgan Hill.

The Dixie Revolution U15 boys team, which beat Los Gatos last weekend to

advance to the quarterfinals, includes Michael Natividad of Rohnert Park, and

Matt Zigulis and Charles Garman of Santa Rosa.

* Jose Rafaela of Sonoma scored three goals as the Petaluma Red Tail Hawks

U15 boys soccer team defeated Vacaville to finish their play in the CYSA North

State Cup.

Petaluma tied for first place in their division but ended up placing third

based on tiebreakers.

HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER

Alex Conner of Maria Carrillo High School has been awarded a partial

scholarship at USF next year.

Conner is expected to play right midfield for the Div. I Dons.
