MCINTOSH CALLED UP TO U17 U.S. NATIONAL TEAM
Kendall McIntosh, a sophomore goalkeeper who attends Sonoma Academy, will
be playing with the United States under-17 national team this week at the Nike
International Friendlies in Phoenix.
The Americans will play Portugal (Friday), Brazil (Saturday) and the
Netherlands (Monday), with each game broadcast live at 6 p.m. on Fox Soccer
Channel.
McIntosh, a former Santa Rosa United player, currently plays with the
Mustang Academy in Danville and has been part of the U.S. National Team
program for three years. He seeks one of 40 spots in the coveted residency
program in Bradenton, Fla.
McIntosh's schedule does not allow him to play for Sonoma Academy this
year, though he continues to work closely with Coyotes coach Chris Ziemer.
