Shout out to some of weekend's top performers

Now that the weekend is over, I wanted to give a little credit to some of the incredible athletes from Friday’s and Saturday’s games. Check on Monday for a detailed breakdown of the weekend’s games by Staff Writer Rich Rupprecht. For now, I hope this will suffice. Rancho Cotate (33-0 win against Montgomery)

Blain Dworkin scored two touchdowns on 22- and 23-yard runs.

Eduardo Farias kicked a 53-yard field goal and was 4-for-4 on PATs.

Cardinal Newman (63-0 win against Elsie Allen)

Randy Wright threw five touchdown passes.

Wade Amaral caught three of those five touchdowns from Wright.

Maria Carrillo (26-14 win against Santa Rosa)

Zack Sheets had 18 rushes for 100 yards and also returned an interception 75 yards for a score.

Sam Atoe rushed for 130 yards on 14 carries and scored a touchdown.

Matt Hart had a 2-yard TD run, and a 22-yard fumble return for a touchdown.

Santa Rosa (26-14 loss against Maria Carrillo)

Jaden Rosselli scored two touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving.

Windsor (35-21 loss against Sonoma)

Blake Schmidt had three touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing).

Sonoma (35-21 win against Windsor)

Nick Fedrick had 26 rushes for 206 yards and four touchdowns.

Michael Mulas led the defense with 13 tackles.

Petaluma (57-0 win against El Molino)

Sean Sullivan had 13 rushes for 173 yards (13.3 yards per carry) and three TDs.

Casa Grande (28-10 loss to Napa)

Matt O’Brien had 209 total yards, a TD, and an interception (his fifth in the past three games).

Ukiah (47-7 win Saturday against Piner)

Kyle Morris completed 13 of 20 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns.
