Congratulations are in order once again for Cardinal Newman senior Pat Sigler.

The midfielder/defender has been named to the 38-player National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas High School Boys’ All-America Soccer team.

Sigler has been invited to and will attend the All-America luncheon in Indianapolis on Jan. 13.

Earlier Sigler was named the Most Valuable Player in the North Bay League for 2006. He led his Cardinal team to a perfect 8-0 league record and the NBL title.

Although he has not yet signed to attend any college, he is reportedly headed to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he will follow in the footsteps of his brother C.J. and play soccer in the fall for the Mustangs.
