Win one, lose one at Carson

In the Women’s Nike Friendlies Saturday (Sept. 30) morning at Carson, Santa Rosa United’s U-17 Gold team lost, 1-0, to Real Colorado, a team from Lone Tree, Colo. The loss leaves SRU with a 1-1 record and one game left to play, Sunday morning against the Irvine Strikers.

And to clarify, this is not a tournament at the Home Depot Center, it is more of a showcase of the players’ talents for visiting college coaches. In other words, every player wins.
