and did it handily. Great job by the defense in holding

high-powered visitors to 7 points in the first half.

2. Casa Grande (1-0)

Quarterback JaJuan Lawson and running back John Porchivina are the

main cogs in the Redwood Empire's best backfield.

3. Cardinal Newman (1-0)

Cardinals got a little sloppy after building big lead at Modesto

Christian. Showed plenty of promise up to that point.

4. Windsor (1-0)

Props for rallying from a 22-point deficit to defeat host Granada.

Jaguars went 80 yards in final 1:20 to win, 39-36.

5. Santa Rosa (1-0)

Panthers scored on first four possessions in opener at Petaluma.

Quarterback Vince Jones and running back Jahi Hayes will put a lot

of points on the scoreboard this season.
