Empire football fun facts

My wife doesn’t seem too interested in my Empire football minutiae. I’m hoping this is a more receptive audience:
* Cardinal Newman had its 22-game NBL winning streak snapped last week. (Would have been nice if I had remembered to include this nugget in last week’s Montgomery-Newman game story).
* Cardinal Newman, which plays Rancho Cotate this week, hasn’t lost back-to-back NBL games since 2002. (The Cardinals lost to Ukiah, 14-13, and Rancho Cotate, 20-0, in back-to-back weeks en route to a 5-4-1 season.)
* Cardinal Newman is 3-4. The Cardinals had a regular-season record of 34-5-1 from 2005-08.
* Casa Grande has won eight straight meetings against Windsor and is 9-1 all-time against the Jaguars.
* Casa Grande RB Kahlil Keys has scored a TD in his past 13 games, scoring 22 TDs during the streak.
* Windsor had the most points it had ever scored in an SCL game in last week’s 52-13 win against El Molino.
* Maria Carrillo set a school record for points in a game in last week’s 74-14 win against Elsie Allen.
* Maria Carrillo RB Sam Atoe has scored 10 TDs in his past three games.
* Maria Carrillo, which plays Ukiah this week, has won three straight NBL games. The Pumas haven’t won four straight league games in the same season since 1999.
* Analy WR Chris Bostock has caught a TD in six of seven games this season. In the game he didn’t score a TD, Bostock had 5 catches for 121 yards against San Marin.
* Montgomery has outscored its past six opponents 101-14 in the first half.
