Friday's (Oct. 2nd) predictions

As we start to weed out the pretenders from the contenders I still sense that there is a huge upset brewing out there. I’ll just have to pinpoint it. You gotta love upsets. It’s never enjoyable when the favorites win all the time.

So, with that said, here goes as we move on into another weekend:

PREDICTION: Ursuline 3, (at) Rancho Cotate 1
If the Bears are turning their season around they just can’t afford to lose this one. They could,  but they won’t.

PREDICTION: Ukiah 4, (at) Elsie Allen 1
This should be one of those games where the Lobos at least score. You have to give them a lot of credit, they never quit trying.

PREDICTION: (at) Maria Carrillo 7, Piner 0
Pumas are in need of a breather and they get one today.

PREDICTION: (at) Analy 4, El Molino 0
Tigers coming off an upset loss at home should be furious tonight.

PREDICTION: Windsor 3, (at) Petaluma 1
The Jags need a bunch of really top-notch, competitive contests if they expect to make any sort of run in the NCS playoffs later on. This will be one of those games … or at least it should be.

PREDICTION: Sonoma Valley 1, (at) Healdsburg 1
Can the Dragons make it two big wins in a row? Well, they’ll come close. ‘Hounds are learning how to close out games and this one will be their first real test. They’ll score late and then hang on in OT.

PREDICTION: (at) Casa Grande 3, Petaluma 0
I see the Gauchos doing nothing but improving. Sorry, Trojans.
