Petaluma: 62 points and 1.94 miles of rushing

Before I go to bed with visions of Sean Sullivan and Ricky Sims sprinting 50 yards downfield through my head … a few notes on 10-0 Petaluma after its 62-15 win against Healdsburg:
* The 62 points were the most the Trojans have scored since a 62-0 win against Santa Rosa on Sept. 16, 2000.
* Sims has 966 yards and 20 TDs this season. In the past three games, he has 496 yards and 11 TDs.
* Sullivan has 3,485 yards rushing and 39 TDs in his three-year varsity career. He rushed for 86 yards and two TDs, returned a kickoff 82 yards for a score and threw a 28-yard TD to Dalton Johnson tonight. The only thing he did wrong was trot to the wrong side of the field before a Healdsburg kickoff.
* In a span of 19 minutes, Petaluma collected 41 points and 279 yards, a pace that, if sustained for 48 minutes, would translate to 104 points and 705 yards.
* The Trojans have rushed for 3,410 yards — or 1.94 miles — this season. They also have 49 rushing TDs, or nealy five a game.
