Petaluma to play at Durst

There had been some speculation that Petaluma’s quarterfinal game against Cardinal Newman would be moved to Rancho Cotate, which has a synthetic turf field. But the contest will remain at Petaluma’s Durst Field.
The Trojans’ grass field was chewed up after their first-round win against Rancho Cotate, a game that was played the day of a heavy rainstorm. But Petaluma coach Steve Ellison, who walked on the field Monday, said he was confident the playing surface would be in decent shape after maintenance crews worked on the field this week.
