Action from Wednesday's Montgomery at Santa Rosa girls game that ended in a 1-1 tie.

We are down to the final two days of the regular season and from the results of Tuesday night it’s apparent no team, whether they are “for sure” in the postseason parade or not, is giving in. And that’s the way it should be.

At least two games tonight have high stakes written all over them: Montgomery at Santa Rosa on the girls side; Petaluma at Windsor on the boys. Playoff implications all around.

First the boys:

PREDICTION: Analy 4, (at) El Molino 1
The Tigers really need to get back on track for their own sake. This end-of-season tailspin will continue right into the playoffs if they aren’t careful.

PREDICTION: (at) Sonoma Valley 2, Healdsburg 0
The postseason is on the line for the ‘Hounds who have had their ups and downs this year. The Dragons are coming off an emotional win at Windsor. They will be down a little today, but can the ‘Hounds take advantage of that? Doubtful.

PREDICTION: (at) Windsor 3, Petaluma 0
This will be the game where goalie Chris Hernandez will come up big and give the outright SCL title to the Jags. For the Jags to advance deep into the playoffs Chris will have to play like he is capable of playing. In fact, if he does, he could take them to another NCS finale.
Final: Windsor 7, Petaluma 0

PREDICTION: Maria Carrillo 5, (at) Piner 0
A scrimmage for the Pumas who will be scoreboard-watching at SR High tonight.

PREDICTION: (at) Ukiah 4, Elsie Allen 0
Both teams are playing out the string.

PREDICTION: (at) Ursuline 3, Rancho Cotate 2
Bears still looking at a playoff slot and certainly they don’t want to travel north if they do get in.

PREDICTION: (at) Santa Rosa 3, Montgomery 1
Face it, the Panthers aren’t going to win the NCS title this year (are they?), so this will be the game they’ll remember. The night they knock off the Vikes. This should be an incredible emotion-filled contest. Maybe better than the playoffs. A word of advice – attend this one.
FINAL: Santa Rosa 1, Montgomery 1, 2OTs
