Rankings for Nov. 10th

As we head to the semifinal round of the North Coast Section tournament, here are the boys and girls rankings:

1. Santa Rosa (19-3-2)
Yes, the Panthers are No. 1; yes, they are in the semis; and yes, they deserve it.

2. Elsie Allen (13-8-2)
Can Lobos’ magic continue vs. Marin Catholic?

3. Casa Grande (14-8-2)
Gauchos have come from out of nowhere and sometimes those “out of nowhere” teams win it all.

4. Windsor (14-1-4)
Jags tried to get back to the NCS finals for a second year in a row but they fell short.

5. Analy (16-5-2)
Tigers were just five little minutes away from an incredible win at Marin Catholic.

1. Montgomery (20-2-1)
Still say the Vikings would be huge NCS favorites if they had Camy, but they don’t.

2. Maria Carrillo (16-2-1)
Pumas’ youth the variable here – if they can handle the pressure they are in.

3. Casa Grande (14-2-3)
Gauchos are two-time defending NCS champs, but theyare getting little respect heading into the semis.

4. Santa Rosa (13-4-2)
Panthers have talent, and they also have a coach who knows how to construct a winning game plan.

5. (tie) Windsor (11-4-3)
Jags will lose a lot of talent, but if their first-year coach returns keep an eye on them next year.

5. (tie) Petaluma (10-4-3)
Trojans aren’t going to fade away as long as Ralph Montes coaches them.
