Rickard takes over at RVC

Brad Rickard, 50, a former assistant coach at Piner High, has been hired as the football coach at Rincon Valley Christian.
Rickard, a Piner alum, takes over for Bob Cazet, who stepped down after helping revive the Eagles’ program in 2006 after a 10-year hiatus. Cazet led the Eagles to 16-5-1 record the past four seasons. RVC went 3-2-1 last year in its first season as an eight-man program.
The Eagles went to eight-man due to declining enrollment. Rickard said RVC will play nine-man football in 2010 and he hopes to return to 11-man football in ‘11.
Rickard was the president of the Redwood Police Activities League for 10 years and has worked at the Blue Chip football camps. He is the owner of North Bay Permit Services.
