Division IV
No. 8 Cloverdale (27-2) at No. 1 St. Mary’s (25-3), 7:30 p.m.
About Cloverdale: The Eagles have won 25 straight . . . Cloverdale is making its third straight NCS quarterfinal appearance . . . junior Whitney Edens is averaging 14.2 points a game. Edens scored 23 in a 52-46 first-round win against No. 9 Salesian. Sara Gambetta added eight in the victory.
About St. Mary’s: The Panthers are the defending section champions . . . 5-11 senior forward Danielle Mauldin is averaging 14.8 points and 10.9 rebounds a game. Mauldin has signed with St. Mary’s College . . . the Panthers are ranked No. 6 among the state’s Division IV schools, according to CalHiSports.

No. 7 Ursuline (17-11) at No. 2 McKinleyville (25-2), 7:30 p.m.
About Ursuline: The Bears are 0-2 against McKinleyville this season, losing 80-76 on Dec. 5 and 50-33 on Jan. 9 . . . junior guard Jordan Henry (18.2 points a game) went over 1,000 career points in a 50-47 first-round overtime over No. 10 St. Helena . . . senior forward Bronte Sheehan is averaging 13.3 points and 8.4 rebounds a game and junior forward McKenzie Mangino is averaging 10.0 points and 8.1 rebounds . . . Ursuline lost all-league senior point guard Tara Puccione to a season-ending knee injury on Jan. 12.
About McKinleyville: The Panthers are led by 6-1 senior guard/forward Sage Romberg (18.4 points, 10.9 rebounds), who has signed with Washington State. In McKinleyville’s 80-76 win against Ursuline this season, Romberg had 34 points and 20 rebounds, both season-highs, and added nine assists and six blocks. Romberg had 15 points and 13 rebounds in the teams’ second meeting . . . Romberg is McKinleyville’s only player scoring in double figures . . . the Panthers have an 89-24 record during Romberg’s four-year career . . . McKinleyville has won 16 straight.

About Pleasant Hill Adentist: Priscilla Morgan is averaging a team-high 8.9 points a game . . . the Cougars are averaging 34.8 points a game.
About Rincon Valley Christian: The Eagles have won 18 straight . . . RVC is the last Empire school to win a basketball state title, winning in 1997 . . . junior point guard Arianna Hanson, the NCL II South MVP, is averaging 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds a game . . . 6-1 junior forward Claire Bailey (9 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals) was named the league’s Defensive MVP . . . junior forward Hannah Dolan is averaging 10.5 points and 4.5 assists.
