So, put the U.S. team on a post-Cup tour

Remember that U.S. soccer bubble that busted last week when the team was knocked out of the World Cup? Well, here is one thought on how to take advantage of that euphoria that existed prior to the loss…

Prior to the Cup run, put it in their contracts that afterward, no matter how deep into the tournament the team goes, they will do a two-week tour of MLS cities.

Set it all up with class, video prior to a game, parade the team out on the field, have them all available for a half-hour autograph session, talk to the media, hop back in the bus and head to the next town.

You want to increase interest in the sport in the U.S.? Well bring the players to the fans. Face it, it wouldn’t hurt.
