LARGE SCHOOLS
1. Petaluma (21-5): Getting hot at the right time? The Trojans have won nine straight entering postseason.
2. Rancho Cotate (15-10): A textbook example of what can be accomplished with pitching and defense.
3. Sonoma (15-11): The Dragons, winners of 12 of their last 14, won’t be an easy out as a No. 13 seed.
4. Cardinal Newman (16-10): Good news for the Cards — nemesis Rancho is on the other side of the Division II bracket.
5. Maria Carrillo (16-9): The Pumas doubled last year’s NBL win total.

SMALL SCHOOLS
1. St. Vincent (18-6): Mustangs P Jeff Kesler tossed his second shutout of the season in NCL I South playoff win over Clear Lake.
2. Clear Lake (17-7): Ace Bryan Edwards has a 9-1 record, 1.56 ERA and 83 Ks in 57 innings.
3. Cloverdale (14-7): The Eagles, winners of six straight, lost to first-round playoff foe Salesian, 4-2, in mid-April.
4. Middletown (15-9): The Mustangs went 8-0 in NCL I North.
5. Kelseyville (12-10): Mike Degregorio finished the regular season with 21 hits, 23 RBIs.
