El Molino’s Tacla, Analy’s Miller step down

* El Molino baseball coach Rick Tacla, 57, has retired after 22 years with the program, the last seven as the Lions’ head coach. Tacla’s teams made five playoff appearances during his tenure as head coach. Tacla coached his three sons during his 15 years as a varsity assistant: Craig (class of ‘91), Devin (‘95) and Keith (‘98). Craig Tacla went on to win a Division II College World Series title at Chico State and Devin played at Santa Rosa Junior College.
* Analy baseball coach Steve Miller, 52, has stepped down after leading the Tigers for the past seven years. Miller will be replaced by former Rancho Cotate coach Jeff Ogston, who teaches at Analy.
