Maria Carrillo’s Tagnoli resigns

Maria Carrillo baseball coach Steve Tagnoli resigned Monday after leading the Pumas for the past 13 years.
Tagnoli, 42, is stepping down due to a new job as a banker at Circle Bank. Tagnoli had previously worked in sales, which had more flexible hours and allowed him to attend mid-afternoon practices and games.
“It was a great experience, but I knew something like this could happen one day,” said Tagnoli, who is married and has an 11-year-old daughter. “But it’s OK. I’ve got to provide for my family.”
The Pumas went 16-10 this past season and had a 10-4 record in the North Bay League.
