Can SRU Freeze dance their way into State Cup finals?

Six Santa Rosa United teams have reached this weekend’s quarterfinal round of the CYSA-North State Cup competition at Morgan Hill.

Winners advance to Sunday’s semifinals, losers come home.

The U18 girls Freeze team, one of the most talented girls teams in SRU history, has a unique confluence of events. Several of their players are headed to the prom Saturday night, win or lose Saturday morning.

And if they win – semifinal game time is 8:30 a.m. Sunday!

That will be quite a weekend if they can pull it off – win a highly competitive quarterfinal game on Saturday, attend the prom, dance all night and come back bright and early Sunday and win another highly competitive semifinal game.

We shall see.
