Women's regular season complete; Thursday's (10/30) men's predictions

Well, the women’s regular season ended much the way it started with Montgomery winning and Elsie Allen losing. But things changed since those opening games back in late August,

The Vikings aren’t dominating everyone and the Lobos finished the season losing only 1-0 at Ukiah. There will be another post-season for Montgomery and a look toward next season for the Lobos.

More on the playoffs later, but for now we have to wrap-up the men’s season tonight. The featured contest will be Cardinal Newman at Maria Carrillo as the Pumas go for an unbeaten North Bay League season and the Cardinals try to spoil that effort.

But maybe the most entertaining game just might be Ukiah at Elsie Allen. The Wildcats will end their season tonight, the Lobos will advance to the playoffs. But Ukiah has been playing well lately and it probably won’t be easy for Elsie Allen to notch a win in the seniors home regular-season finale.

The seeding meetings are Sunday morning in Walnut Creek.
