Sonoma leaves Terra Linda in the dust

After letting their season opener slip away, Sonoma Valley evened its record with a 34-15 win over Terra Linda on Saturday.

The Dragons again took an early lead only to fall behind. This time, however, Sonoma Valley bounced back.

Down 15-14 going into the fourth quarter, Sonoma Valley scored the game’s final 20 points to pull away from Terra Linda for the win on the road. Joey Casias had a pair of touchdown runs, quarterback Sam Morgan ran for a score, Steve McGunegle ran a kickoff back for a touchdown, and Dylan Severson kicked a 33 yard field goal.
