Analy product Varnadore excels at SSU

You could almost see this one coming.

Seriously, Taylor Varnadore was the Energizer Bunny of the Analy Tigers a year ago. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that he would be a terrific college player since he had better-than-average talent and an over-the-top work rate.

He was all over the place for the Tigers and at 6-3 he wasn’t hard to miss.

And Sonoma State head coach Marcus Ziemer didn’t miss him.

He signed Varnadore to a Seawolf deal and … hello, last two games he has four goals for SSU and led them to a 3-1 upset win over CSU San Bernardino, the No. 10 ranked Div. II team in the land, on Sunday in Rohnert Park.

Not bad for a freshman.

Want to see Varnadore play?

SSU will return to action at 4 p.m. Friday when it entertaines CSU East Bay.

Best guess here is that Taylor scores … again.
