You probably won’t lose many soccer games if you get 32 shots.

Well, Sonoma State’s men’s team proved that on Friday afternoon at home as the Seawolves downed the  CSU East Bay Pioneers, 2-0, in a California Collegiate Athletic Association soccer match.

The Seawolves got goals from junior Trevor Hurst (SRJC and Piner High) and freshman Talor Varnadore (Analy High).
Hurst and Varnadore each have five goals on the season.

The SSU men’s team (4-1-0, 2-1-0 CCAA) will entertain UCSD at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, the SSU women’s team dropped to 1-2-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the CCAA following a 1-0 loss to CSU East Bay.

The Seawolves outshot the Pioneers, 16-13, but couldn’t find the back of the net.

SSU returns to action on Sunday when it plays host to UCSD at 11:30 a.m.
