In a battle of the Sonoma County League boys soccer heavyweights Tuesday night it was no contest.

Analy downed Windsor, 4-0, in a game that wasn’t complete domination by the  Tigers, but close.

Analy, now in SCL cruise control at 13-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the SCL, got first-half goals from Taylor Williams and Armando Coronel as the Tigers outshot the Jaguars 8-2 in the first period.

Windsor, 7-3, came out after halftime with a little more energy until their forward Etiandro Tavares was escorted off the pitch with a red card about 8 minutes into the second half.

Down to 10 men, Windsor seemingly was done for the night, but it didn’t turn out that way.

The Jaguars actually controlled the play for the next 15 minutes, but finally Analy broke loose on a counter play and was fouled in the penalty box. Augustine Reyes converted the PK and Analy led 3-0 with about 10 minutes left.

Shortly afterward, a frustrated Eduardo Rodriguez picked up the Jags’ second red of the game and, down to 9 players, Windsor’s chances vanished. Analy would add a final goal in the last two minutes of the game.

The Tigers, now in control of the SCL, travel to Healdsburg on Thursday night while Windsor, which will be forced to play without Tavares and Rodriguez, plays host to El Molino on the same night.
