Windsor leads way in SCL tennis

Loaded with returning players, the Windsor girls’ tennis team leads the Sonoma County League at the season’s midpoint.

The Jaguars are undefeated in league play including a win over perennial power Analy, last year’s SCL winner and now second behind Windsor.

An upstart El Molino squad – this year’s surprise — has moved into third place. Petaluma, another traditional league leader, is looking to rebound in the second half of league play.

While the team to beat is Windsor, no clear favorites in singles or doubles play has yet emerged for the league finals in late October.

Thursday’s matches have Healdsburg at Casa Grande, Windsor at El Molino, and Petaluma at Sonoma Valley. Matches start at 4 p.m.
