Roseland Prep’s Delgado gets the shots, but SSU gets the loss

Roseland Prep High product Erick Delgado accounted for three of Sonoma State’s 10 shots Sunday afternoon at Rohnert Park, but none of the sophomore’s shots found the back of the net and the Seawolves dropped a homecoming CCAA match to San Francisco State, 1-0.

With the 1-0 defeat, SSU falls 4-4-0 in the CCAA and 6-4-0 overall. The Gators improve to 5-4-1 and 3-4-1.

SFSU scored the game’s only goal with six minutes left.

SSU will entertain Chico State at 12:30 p.m. Friday.


On the women’s side, the result was the same. SFSU scored in the 62nd minute and held on to beat the Seawolves.
SSU drops to 2-5-2 overall, 1-5-2 in the CCAA.

The Gators improve to 6-2-2 and 5-2-1.

SSU’s women’s team will entertain Chico State at 3 p.m. Friday.
