Piner grad Hurst scores another winner for SSU

ROHNERT PARK – After staging a furious rally from a 2-0 deficit in the first 24 minutes of the match on Sunday afternoon, the Sonoma State University men’s soccer team got a goal from Piner High graduate Trevor Hurst with 15 minutes left in the game and went on to defeat Cal State Stanislaus, 4-3.

It marked the second game-winner on the weekend for Hurst who also had two assists in the game.

SSU is now 8-4-0 overall and in second place in the North Division (6-4-0) of the CCAA. The Warriors fell to 6-3-3, 5-3-2 CCAA.

SSU is a point ahead of CSU Stanislaus in the standings.

The Seawolves now hit the road for five of their last six regular season games starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday when they travel toe CSULA.
