Midway through Sonoma County League play, the Casa Grande girls soccer team is undefeated in league paly with Windsor and Analy the Gauchos’ closest pursuers.

Looking to defend its SCL title, Casa Grande has used a tough non-league schedule to get out to a strong start in the SCL.

At this time a year ago, the Gauchos were in third place looking up at Petaluma and Windsor.

But the Gauchos would finish strong and reach the North Coast Section Div. I championship game, where they lost to Montgomery.

Windsor has another strong squad in the Jaguars bid to return to the NCS playoffs. Analy has improved and could be in shape for an NCS spot, while Petaluma and Sonoma Valley also hope to get back into the tournament.
