Last week:

Sonoma lost to Windsor. 38-6. Healdsburg fell to Analy, 16-14

Notable: When Sonoma comes to town, it will find the Healdsburg players in a foul mood. The Greyhounds had their dreams of an undefeated season dashed last Friday at Analy … “They played better than us,” coach Tom Kirkpatrick said. “They outplayed us.” Healdsburg never led and trailed 16-7 with 3:46 left in the game … Sonoma Valley has lost three straight by an average of 18 points per game … Quarterback Sam Morgan and wide receiver Steve McGunagle have hooked up for four TDs … Joey Casias is averaging nearly six yards per carry to lead the rushing attack … Eric Clouse (36 tackles) and Sean Daly (33 tackles) have been solid on defense … Healdsburg utilizes a run-oriented offense. The Greyhounds are averaging 226 yards per game on the ground and 96 through the air … Carson Seanor, the Empire’s leading scorer with 72 points, is averaging 7.5 yards per carry.

Number to note: 20 — Number of extra points Martin Chesley has kicked for Healdsburg. The senior is also averaging 39 yards per punt.
