NCS Div. I Championship

AT SANTA ROSA HIGH

Final: Casa Grande 2, Maria Carrillo 0

Summary: Casa Grande took a 2-0 lead at halftime and held on for the upset win. Margi Osmundson scored the first goal for Casa Grande on a penalty kick. Maria Carrillo’s Victoria Kovatch was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury. More to come later.

Halftime score: St. Vincent 1, Roseland University Prep 0

Goals: SV-Jessica Maynard, Natalia Sumodjo. Assist: SV-Shannon Carroll.

Records: SV 17-2-0 RUP 15-4-4

Notable: St. Vincent (Petaluma), from North Central I Conference, was the No. 2 seed.  Roseland Prep, from North Central II South, was the top seed.

Final: Montgomery 1, Cardinal Newman 0

Summary: Montgomery’s Christofer Rivera scored to give Montgomery a 1-0 lead over Cardinal Newman with 11 minutes left in the game.

NCS Div. III Championship

AT ANDERSON VALLEY

Final: Anderson Valley 2, Sonoma Academy 1

Summary: Sonoma Academy scored in the 20th minute on a goal by Frankie Graham. Anderson Valley’s Sergio Gutierrez scored to tie the game in the 74th minute on a header off a corner kick. In the fourth minute of injury time, Sonoma Academy goalie Ethan Moskoff made a save, but the ball bounced back in the box and freshman Omar Solano punched it in for the go-ahead score.
