NCS Football: Weekend’s Best

David Pike, Middletown

In Middletown’s 56-0 win over St. Helena, Pike rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns. On special teams, he returned a punt 75 yards for another score the first time he touched the ball. Pike has rewritten the Lake County record book as he has now scored the most points in County history (206) and scored the most touchdowns (34). All but two are rushing touchdowns, which is also a County Record.

Conor Brown, St. Vincent

In St. Vincent’s 48-6 win against Calistoga, Brown had his best game of the season, completing 15 of 27 passes for 273 yards and five touchdowns. He also scored another touchdown on a 1-yard run.

Michael Guerrero, Tomales

In Tomales’ 26-6 win against Upper Lake, Guerrero hd his second-highest rushing game of the season, running for 165 yards on 28 carries with a season-high three touchdowns in a 26-6 win over Upper Lake. Guerrero surpassed 1,200 yards rushing for the season.

Tommy Krausmann, El Molino

In his first game back from a shoulder injury, Krausmann rushed for 185 yards on 26 carries in El Molino’s 35-0 win over Kelseyville. It was El Molino’s first NCS playoff win since 2003.

Chet Lambert, El Molino

After playing as a wide receiver for most of the season, Lambert filled in at running back while Krausmann was injured. In the win over Kelseyville, he shared running duties with Krausmann and ran for 125 yards on 11 carries and scored three touchdowns. Lambert scored three of El Molino’s first four touchdowns, the last a 65-yard run which gave them a 28-0 lead.

Steve Tomasin, Cardinal Newman

In Cardinal Newman’s 35-6 win against Campolindo, Tomasin scored the first four touchdowns of the game. Tomasin rushed for 170 yards on 18 carries.

Sam Atoe, Maria Carrillo

In Maria Carrillo’s 34-6 win against Dougherty Valley, Atoe accounted for four touchdowns. Atoe, who passed for 112 yards and rushed for 83, had two touchdown through the air and two on the ground.

Brently Campbell, Sonoma Academy

In a season-opening loss to Urban, 67-57, Campbell scored 27 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked four shots.
