Puma grad Johnson in Div. II Final Four

Haley Johnson, a Maria Carrillo graduate, has just about reached the ultimate of NCAA Div. II women’s soccer. One more win and she will be there.

The UCSD sophomore, who has started all 45 games of her college career at left back, will be in that position on Thursday when the UCSD Tritons play in the Final Four semifinals.

UCSD will face No. 1-ranked St. Rose at Louisville, Ky.

UCSD is ranked No. 12 in the country, is 18-2-3 overall and has allowed only 12 goals all season.

Johnson has scored a goal and has 10 assists from her defensive positon and recently was named to the Honorable Mention All-CCAA squad.

She was the Pumas MVP and made The Press Democrat’s All-Empire team her senior season at Maria Carrillo.
