The Empire’s fastest teens in the water will try to improve North Coast Section qualifying times or push into the field at the North Bay and Sonoma County league finals today.

The deepest group is in the SCL this season with Analy and Windsor to decide the girls’ team title and the Windsor boys favored over Casa Grande.

Ursuline is the NBL girls’ favorite with Montgomery close behind. Maria Carrillo’s boys are very deep with Ukiah in their wake.

SONOMA COUNTY LEAGUE

Windsor freestyler Allie Davis is into the NCS at 200 and 500 yards, holding the Empire record in the longer distance.

Rebecca Baxley looks to lower her marks in the 200 IM and 100-yard backstroke to gain NCS spots.

Haley Cahill and Carrie Sibbald, Petaluma, and Ashley Boyle, Analy, seek NCS berths in the 50 free.

Just off the NCS qualifying time in the girls 100 fly is Micaela Luders, Windsor.

On the boys side, Sam Haley has an NCS spot in the 200 IM and the 100 fly.

In the 50 free, Harmon Galt, Petaluma, is into the sections. Morgan Baldwin, Casa Grande, could also make the field, as well as in the 100 free.

Freestyler Nathan Kuhn should make NCS in both the 200- and 500-yard distances.

The 100-yard breast stroke has three who could make NCS in Janarthan Nadendla, Windsor, and both Alex Xu and Dylan Steiner, Casa Grande. Nadendla and Xu also could reach in the 200 IM.

Max Parelius, Casa Grande, could make the section field in the 100 fly.

NORTH BAY LEAGUE

Newcomer Jenna Bauer, Montgomery, is into the NCS in the 200 free, just off the Empire record. Bauer also has qualified in the 500 free.

Taylor Young, Ursuline, has a solid section time in the 200 IM and has qualified in the 100 breast as well.

Karissa DeRousseau, Maria Carrillo, and Celine Sargis, Santa Rosa, should reach sections in the 100 back.

In the 500 free, DeRousseau and Kate Sabourin, Montgomery, could reach with Angelica Nowack, Montgomery, also in the hunt for a section berth. Nowack will get consideration in the 100 fly.

Leading the NBL boys is Marcus Ramirez, Ukiah, with a section berth in the 100 fly and a good chance in the 200 IM.

Also strong in the 200 IM is Richard Liang, Maria Carrillo. He also has a fast time in the 100 breast.

The league’s top 50 free boy is Kyle Galbraith, Cardinal Newman, who could make sections.

Both Shannon Fong, Maria Carrillo, and Loren Kezer, Montgomery, are near section qualifying marks in the 100 fly.

Danny Selzer, Ukiah, could make sections in the 100 free.

League leading 500 free boy Gerry Yeung, Maria Carrillo, will get consideration for sections.

Not to be overlooked are a pair of the section’s top divers, Tanner MacDonald, Montgomery, and Phillip Coren, Ukiah.
