The South squad regained the lead with a single run in the top of the ninth inning after tying the game an inning earlier.

Then three Fort Bragg teammates struck for the North in the bottom of the ninth. Cody Ryden and Al Huerta reached base and then stole bags to get into scoring position. With one out, Kevin Llamas singled both home for the victory.

The game Wednesday was played as a 9-inning contest at Mendocino College, in Ukiah. A good crowd of more than 100 was on hand.

Top hitters on the day included Llamas, with a double to go with the game winning single, and Mike Davis, from Kelseyville, also banging a double and knocking in two runs.

Davis was the winning pitcher. Ryden threw out a South runner at home plate attempting to score from second base on a hit.

For the South, K.C. Pedersen, St. Vincent, had four hits in as many at-bats. The other top hitters were Michael Meiswinkel, St. Vincent, with two hits including a double, and Sam Giampaoli, Cloverdale, with a double in three plate appearances.

Representing the North were players from Kelseyville, Fort Bragg, Middletown – all North Coast Section playoff teams – Willits and Lower Lake.

The South schools were St. Vincent and Cloverdale – section playoff teams — Upper Lake and Clear Lake.
