Experienced Coaches Stay Home At El Molino

Posted By Press Democrat Staff Writer Michael Coit:

El Molino has new varsity track and softball coaches, leaving the volleyball and swim team posts as the remaining vacancies at the Forestville high school.

Taking over the track and field team is Heather Rosales. This is a good fit for El Molino as Rosales was assistant track coach the past three years and led the cross country team during that time.

“She has done a great job of getting the most out of our runners and achieving success in cross country program and we know she will do the same in track and field,” said El Molino athletic director Mike Roan.

The Lions varsity softball team will be coached by Connie Benavides, another solid hire for El Molino.

“She is not new to El Molino, as she has assisted Mel Manni for the last three years,” Roan said.
