NCS schedule changes affect Maria Carrillo, Healdsburg, Kelseyville

Last-minute changes to the North Coast Section baseball and softball playoff brackets have shaken up the first-round schedule for a handful of Empire teams.

In softball, No. 8 Maria Carrillo's Division 2 home game against No. 9 Clayton Valley will be played at 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon instead of Tueday as originally announced.

In baseball, Wednesday's Division 4 game between No. 6 Healdsburg and No. 11 Kelseyville has been moved from College of the Redwoods in Mendocino County to Rancho Cotate High School. Additionally, it will get under way at 4 p.m. instead of the original time of 7 p.m.
