Sonoma State recorded a hat trick in NCAA national rankings Tuesday.

The women’s soccer team rose to second, the men’s soccer squad broke into the national poll, and the women’s volleyball team also was selected among the nation’s best.

Still undefeated after six matches, the women’s soccer team was ranked second in this week’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II Women’s Soccer Top 25 Coaches’ poll. This is the program’s highest ranking since 1999.

Sonoma State is one spot behind Grand Valley State.

The Seawolves’ next match is 12:30 p.m. Friday at home, in Rohnert Park, against league rival Chico State.
Later on Friday, the Seawolves men host Chico State. Match time is 3 p.m.

Winners of four straight, the Sonoma State men’s soccer team is ranked 18th in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division II Men’s Top 25 Coaches’ poll. Sonoma State is 5-1, having shut out their opponent in each of the past three games.

Coming off a pair of three-set wins to open conference play, the Sonoma State women’s volleyball team is back in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Women's Volleyball Top 25 Coaches’ poll at 20th after dropping out for one week.
Sonoma State, with an 8-2 record, plays again 7 p.m. Friday at Chico State.
