A look at Saturday's area high school football games:

Kickoff: 1 p.m.
Last game: Anderson Valley lost to Potter Valley, 60-34. Rincon Valley Christian defeated Round Valley, 36-6.
Notable: Eight-man football games usually produce a lot of scoring, so the recent work of the RVC defense is praiseworthy. The Eagles have surrendered only two touchdowns in their last two games … Brandon Douglas leads the team in tackles … Meanwhile, the offense is averaging 38 points per game … RVC has a triple threat running game — Douglas (541 yards), Dylan Bricker (315) and Daniel Maples (267) … Quarterback Maples has thrown eight touchdown passes and is completing 54 percent of his tosses … Anderson Valley is having a down year after going 14-4 in 2010-11.

Notable: Mustangs’ wide receiver Arman Yektaparast is averaging nearly 20 yards per reception.
