Jalon Luque rushed for 200 yards and scored two touchdowns as host Rancho Cotate defeated Montgomery, 34-0, Friday night

Luque scored from two yards out in the first quarter and then found paydirt on a 23-yard jaunt in the third stanza.

It was the third shutout in six games for the Cougars. The defense is allowing an average of six points.

"The defensive and offensive lines played extremely well," Rancho coach Ed Conroy said. "The offensive line was make-shift. We had to move in three players because of injuries."

Rancho is 6-0 and 3-0 in NBL. Montgomery's record is 1-5 and 0-3.
