A team-leading tackle total earned Sacramento State linebacker Jeff Badger Root Sports Big Sky Conference co-Defensive Player of the Week.
The former Cardinal Newman player led Sacramento State with 12 tackles — five solo stops — in a 27-22 victory at Southern Utah.
He also had a sack and snagged a late interception to help preserve the win.
On the season Badger ranks third on the Hornets with 44 tackles and is tied for the team lead with two interceptions.
