First round predictions of the CIF North Coast Section boys and girls soccer tournament weren't all that bad: 6-1 on the girls side and 10-3 on the boys. In fact, said Clear Lake girls would beat Ferndale, 4-0, and they did. And on the boys side Analy downed Healdsburg, 2-1; and Casa Grande blanked San Rafael, 2-0, both as predicted.
So, now it's time to move on to Saturday's games as things start to get a little more interesting:

Maria Carrillo vs. Windsor at Elsie Allen High, 5 p.m.
Pumas undefeated and that won't change: MC 5-0
Analy at Casa Grande, 7 p.m.
Gauchos hang on, 3-2
Rancho Cotate at Cardinal Newman, 7 p.m.
Dixon's ladies ease to a 3-1 victory
Petaluma at Montgomery, 7 p.m.
Pat's team always plays well come postseason, 4-0
GIRLS 3
St. Helena at Middletown, 7 p.m.
St. Helena may keep this close, for awhile, 3-1 Middletown
Clear Lake at Cloverdale, 7 p.m.
I sense an upset: Clear Lake 2, Cloverdale 1
Roseland University Prep at Sonoma Academy, 2 p.m.
SA rolls in the playofs, 3-0
Calistoga at St. Vincent, 2 p.m.
Tough road trip for the Wildcats, 4-0 St. Vinny
BOYS 1
Casa Grande vs. Maria Carrillo at Elsie Allen High, 3 p.m.
Pumas haven't lost a game all season and it won't happen today, MC 2-0
Analy at Terra Linda, 2 p.m.
If, and a big if here, the Tigers can win this one they might reach the finals, but … TL, 2-1 OT
