Notable: Analy practiced at 8:30 Thanksgiving morning. “It was our typical day before a game practice,” coach Dan Bourdon said. “We did a walk through on offense and worked on special teams. Finally, we ran the first few plays we plan to use on offense.” … This is one of only two game in the state playoffs matching undefeated teams. … The game will be played at DeAnza High School, where El Cerrito played its first two rounds. … El Cerrito is the top seed in the Div. 3 bracket and Analy is No. 5. … Campolindo is a common opponent. Analy beat that rival, 38-34, last Friday and during the regular season, the Gauchos visited the Moraga school and prevailed, 16-14 … Bourdon calls El Cerrito the most athletic team the Tigers will have seen … “To win, we will have to capitalize on every opportunity and limit mistakes,” Bourdon said. “El Cerrito has speed everywhere.” … The Gauchos offense starts with junior quarterback Keilan Benjamin. Against Bishop O’Dowd, he rushed for 53 yards on 23 carries and completed five-of-eight passes for 49 yards. … For Analy, running back Kyle Lewis needs 59 yards to reach 1,000. … QB Darin Newman and wide receiver Aaron Maher are a dynamic duo, having combined for 16 TDs. Newman has completed 158 passes for 2,542 yards. … Zavi Ginella leads the Tigers in tackles (96) and sacks (6½). … Trent Ackerman has 83 tackles and Dylan Mathias81. … A victory by Analy and win on Saturday by Cardinal Newman (vs. Marin Catholic) would set up a Sonoma County Division 3 final.
