Adding All-American to their soccer resumes are a pair of Santa Rosa Junior College and former Empire prep standouts.
Octavio Estupinan made the 2012 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Junior College
Men’s Division III All-America First team. Teammate Keenan Whyte made the NSCAA All-America Second Team.
The pair of midfielders, both out of Montgomery High, earlier were named to the coaches association West Region team.
Estupinan, a sophomore, was Big Eight Conference player of the year. Whyte, a first-year player, was conference midfielder of the year. Both were All-Empire players at Montgomery.
Santa Rosa won the conference title and a first-round NorCal Regional playoff. The Bear Cubs, 14-3-3 overall, finished ranked 16th in the NSCAA national poll.
