Ukiah ended the regular season with a 62-48 victory over visiting Windsor on Friday and locked up third place in the North Bay League.
The Wildcats will travel to Montgomery for an opening-round NBL tournament game on Wednesday.
Montgomery beat Casa Grande 44-35 on Friday. The fourth-place Gauchos open the league tournament at Cardinal Newman.
Ukiah used its superior size to maximum advantage against Windsor, while scoring 16 second-chance points.
“Our height was the difference,” coach Bill Heath said. “We didn’t shoot well, so we needed those put-backs.
“Both teams played hard, it was a good high school game.”
Adrian Mata was one of four Wildcats to score in double figures. He led the way with 15 and was followed by Paul Steliga 11, Frankie Garcia 10 and Austin Morris 10.
Casey Myers spearheaded the Windsor offense with 20. Colin McAlvain added 12.
Windsor finished with a 10-18 record while going 4-10 in league. Ukiah wound up 9-5 in league and 17-9 overall.
“Every season we have four goals,” Heath said. “We want to have fun, be competitive, make the NBL tournament and get invited to NCS.
“We’ve now accomplished three of those goals.”
