Wildcats had host Montgomery on the ropes in opening round of NBL Tourney.

Greyhounds come into NCS having won six-of-seven.

GIRLS

1. MONTGOMERY (22-6)

Vikings took two-of-three from Santa Rosa including victory in league tourney.

2. SANTA ROSA (22-6)

NBL regular season champs host Dougherty Valley in NCS action tonight.

3. CASA GRANDE (15-12)

Last season’s top girls team did well shooting 3s this season.

Trojans dominated SCL opponents by an average of 25 points per game.

BOYS

1. RINCON VALLEY CHRISTIAN (24-4)

Lone Redwood Empire team to get a No. 1 seed (Division 6).

2. WILLITS (21-5)

Wolverines had 17-game win snapped by visiting St. Helena last Thursday.

3. MIDDLETOWN (19-6)

Mustangs are 9-1 on road and open NCS action Wednesday at Marin Catholic.

4. CLOVERDALE (15-11)

Eagles drew Cardinal Newman in NCS opening round.

5. ST. VINCENT (19-10)

Mustangs ended regular season by winning NCL II Tournament.

GIRLS

1. WILLITS (20-6)

Wolverines got no respect from NCS selection committee despite winning NCL I title.

2. CLOVERDALE (19-7)

Eagles’ only two NCL I losses were to Willits.

3. ST. VINCENT (20-8)

Mustangs moved up in rankings by winning NCL II Tournament.

4. SONOMA ACADEMY (20-4)

Coyotes are league champs, but lost at St. Vincent in postseason tourney.

5. TOMALES (18-10)

Braves open NCS with home game vs. Point Arena.
