El Molino seeking coaches

El Molino has openings to lead the school’s varsity girls’ basketball and baseball program. Applicants should have coached at the high school level and varsity experience is a plus, athletic director Mike Roan said.

The girls’ program was led by Melissa Jones the past three seasons. Jones graduated from El Molino, where she was a Sonoma County League MVP, and later played at Holy Names University in Oakland. Jones has two young children and wanted to spend more time with family, Roan said.

El Molino also seeks a varsity baseball coach to replace Brian Houghtelling, who was at the helm for two seasons.

Houghtelling coached at the prep and college levels, including a pair of head coaching stints. Houghtelling recently completed a master’s program in kinesiology at Sonoma State.
