The 2013 high school football season is rapidly approaching. Teams in the Redwood Empire have started practicing this week in anticipation for scrimmages in the coming days. The regular season kicks off in less than two weeks.

Previews on Empire teams are running daily in The Press Democrat. Despite a sub-.500 finish last season, the Healdsburg Greyhounds are confident about contending in the Sonoma County League this season.
