Oakland (1-0) at Ukiah (1-1)

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.

Last week: Oakland won at Stellar Prep, 37-8. Ukiah beat Willits, 43-6.

Notable: Jeff Burrell, who returned to coach Ukiah after a 22-year absence, had to be pleased with his alma mater’s first win of the season … The victory equaled the school’s win total of last year … Ukiah boasts an offensive line that averages 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds.

The pick: Ukiah 28, Oakland 13

Berean Christian (1-1) at Cloverdale (0-2)

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.

Last week: Berean Christian lost at Le Grand, 35-0. Cloverdale lost to St. Vincent, 21-6.

Notable: The visitors from Walnut Creek prefer the run to the pass. Running back Ethan Anderson has rushed for 206 yards in two games … Cloverdale is allowing an average of 31 points per game while scoring just under 10 per contest.

The pick: Berean Christian 27, Cloverdale 7

Kelseyville (1-0) at South Fork (1-1)

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.

Last week: Kelseyville won at Upper Lake, 68-8. South Fork lost to Calistoga, 28-6.

Notable: Mike McGuire, who took over the coaching reins for the Knights this year, had his team primed for a big effort in its season debut … Upper Lake scored first but by the end of the first quarter, the Cougars trailed 38-8 … Kevin Duty accounted for four touchdowns, three rushing and a kickoff return.

The pick: Kelseyville 41, South Fork 14

Lower Lake (1-0) at Durham (0-2)

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.

Last week: Lower Lake defeated Marshall, 53-20. Durham lost at Clear Lake, 37-6.

Notable: The Trojans rushed for 416 yards in their opening win. Junior Isazah King accounted for 214 yards and senior Eric Moreno added 160 … Lower Lake scored two touchdowns in each quarter.

The pick: Lower Lake 27, Durham 13

Swett (1-1) at Calistoga (2-0)

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.

Last week: Swett defeated Emery, 22-18. Calistoga beat South Fork, 28-6.

Notable: Swett lost to South Fork, 16-13, in its season opener … In Calistoga’s win over South Fork, the secondary intercepted four passes (Tim Montanez 2, Danny Alfaro 1, Cristian Ramirez 1) … Dylan Alvarado led the running game with 179 yards on 20 carries.

The pick: Calistoga 34, Swett 7

Point Arena (0-1) at Anderson Valley (1-1)

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.

Last week: Point Arena did not play. Anderson Valley lost at Potter Valley, 22-20.

Notable: This game is one of the highlights of the Mendocino County Fair & Apple Show … In Point Arena’s only game, Aug. 31 vs. Mendocino, freshman Roger Madina carried the ball six times for 121 yards. He scored two touchdowns and his longest run was 65 yards … Anderson Valley is averaging 47 points per game while allowing 18.

The pick: Point Arena 40, Anderson Valley 27

Mendocino (1-0) at Laytonville (0-1)

Kickoff: 7 p.m.

Last week: Mendocino did not play. Laytonville did not play.

Notable: The Cardinals went unbeaten last year and opened this season with a 48-30 win over Point Arena. Laytonville began this season with a 74-14 home loss to Anderson Valley.
